Managing Partner
Helmut Nollert founded HFN Kommunikation in 1993. After graduating from university he embarked on a career as a business and finance journalist working for international news agencies and popular German business magazines. Mr. Nollert spent more than 20 years supporting companies with their strategic communications and public relations and is an expert in communications for the energy sector.
Managing Director
Karl-Friedrich Brenner draws on more than 20 years’ experience as a communications manager in industry and agencies. He specialises in strategic, crisis and financial communications and is a seasoned expert in financial services and agricultural economy. Karl-Friedrich Brenner heads the HFN team at the agency’s head office in Frankfurt. He is also a visiting scholar who holds lectures, workshops and seminars on communications topics at various universities.
Knut Hansen has been in active in public affairs and communication consulting for some 20 years now. He works mainly on advising companies and individuals on how to position themselves through communications, as well as on crisis and litigation PR. The focus of his activities lies on real estate companies, property developers, investment companies, financial investors, stock exchanges and banks, along with the waste management, energy and health care sectors.

Theis Kiewitt works out of HFN Kommunikation’s Hamburg office, where he predominantly supports companies in the financial services and energy sectors. He spent more than 15 years as a journalist for leading daily and weekly newspapers, including Bild, Welt and Welt am Sonntag. Mr. Kiewitt made the move to industry in 2001 and began working for financial institutes, latterly as Head of Press and Internal Communications. Since 2007 his work has focused mainly on advising companies from the banking and insurance sector and the renewable energies industry.
Laura Müller is responsible for the communication to citizens and provides project management at HFN. . Having graduated with a Bachelors of Arts, Ms. Müller initially joined a marketing agency in Frankfurt, where she was responsible for marketing real estate and compiling tenant mixes and retail concepts. Her work at HFN centres on the support of a transmission network operator and real estate companies.
As a junior consultant Anke Triebe is responsible for customers in the energy and agricultural sector. Also, she is much in to social media and content marketing. Besides, she has been writing about brewing and beer in northern Germany for a small book series over the past years.
